Photography Course at Tok Tokkie Trails 20 to 22 March 2010
In March 2010 Tok Tokkie Trails combines it’s popular walking trail with a photography course. The photographic trail will be run on the stunningly scenic and photogenic NamibRand Nature Reserve from Saturday 20 to Monday 22 March 2010 under the expert leadership of photography trainer Scott Hurd.
The fascinating landscape of Namib Rand Nature Reserve offers an endless range of magnificent motives for photographers: vegetated sandy dunes in different shapes and colours, endless plains, rugged mountains and abundant wildlife. From dawn till dusk the wandering sun dips the landscape in an ever-changing array of beautiful colours, offering new impressions and vistas all day long.
Hence, the idea suggests itself to do a Tok Tokkie Trail on which our guests do not only explore this living desert but can also make the best of the photographic opportunities found along the way.
Scott Hurd, the leader of this course, is an experienced and well-known professional photographer and motivational trainer. On the photographic Tok Tokkie Trail he will coach the participants in developing their photographic skills no matter what their prior experience and camera equipment is. A small group of 8 - 10 participants ensures personal attention and a high learning curve. In addition to Scott an knowledgeable nature guide will explain the fascinating desert ecosystem pointing out desert fauna and flora. The trail also includes Tok Tokkie desert luxury: A hot bucket shower & toilet with vista, meals enjoyed out in the dunes and a unique open sky accommodation.
